My workspace is in Prakasham Nagar, at a place called Sahel, house number 3/3RT. It’s a part of Begumpet that I know quite well. I’ve set up my architectural practice here because it’s close to the heart of the city but still feels like a neighborhood. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls. Instead, it’s a more personal space where I can actually sit down and talk to people about what they want to build. I spend a lot of time on my computer, but I still keep a big stack of tracing paper for when I need to think. The office is often a bit cluttered with material swatches and old folders. I handle the design work and the site visits myself. Hyderabad is a busy place to build anything, so there is always some new challenge with the local regulations or the space available. I try to keep things straightforward and honest. I don't use any buzzwords or try to act like I'm part of a massive firm. It's just me and my work. The area around Prakasham Nagar is always full of life, which is nice when I take a break to walk around and grab a quick snack from the street vendors. If you need to find me, it's just a regular house turned into a studio. I like it that way because it feels more accessible to the people I work for. My neighbors are used to seeing me coming and going at odd hours.
