Our office is located at Plot No 27/N in the Narasimharao Nagar area of Vanasthalipuram. Being in Hyderabad means things are always moving fast but this particular neighborhood has its own rhythm. We aren't based in one of the hotels themselves but in this separate office where we handle the administrative side of things. It is where we deal with the budgets and the staffing issues and all the things that guests never see. The building is pretty plain and we have a lot of binders filled with reports and maintenance logs. We spend a lot of time on the phone with the different hotel departments making sure they have enough supplies like soap and towels. It is not a very glamorous job and there is always something that needs fixing or someone who needs to be scheduled. The office gets a bit dusty because of the road outside but we try to keep things organized enough to find what we need. We drink a lot of tea and usually have the radio playing in the background while we work through the stacks of paper. It’s a lot of responsibility to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes but we have a good team of people who have been doing this for years. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and try to make sure everything stays on track for the hotels.
