Our office is tucked away in the Dharani Surya Sai Apartments in Padmarao Nagar. It’s on the second floor, room 203, so you have to go up the stairs or use the small lift if it’s working that day. Secunderabad is a busy place and this neighborhood is no different. You hear the sounds of the street all day long, mostly traffic and people heading to the local markets. Inside, we have our setup with various systems and monitors everywhere. It’s not a huge corporate floor, just a practical space where we handle different tech tasks and coordination. Some of us have been here since the start and we know the quirks of the building pretty well. There’s a tea stall nearby where everyone goes for a break in the afternoon. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. The focus is usually on the screens and making sure the daily work gets finished on time. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when everyone is in at once, but we make it work. It feels more like a small community than a big office. We usually keep the windows closed to keep the dust out, but you can still see the trees outside. It’s a straightforward environment without any bells and whistles. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and head out when the sun goes down.
