Delhi World Public School

Our school sits right on the Medchal Highway, at S.No 46. It’s pretty easy to find because we’re directly opposite the Petbasheerabad Police Station. The traffic on the highway can be quite something in the mornings, so we always have someone watching the gate when the kids arrive. It’s a big open area out here in Jeedimetla, so we have a bit more space than schools in the middle of the city. We have the classrooms set up simply, and there’s a lot of ground for the kids to move around. Most of the staff comes in from various parts of the city, using the highway to get here. It’s a busy place, but once you get inside the walls, it feels a bit more relaxed. We don't have a lot of fancy stuff, just what's needed for the lessons. We deal with the usual school problems like broken chalk or a squeaky door. On hot days, we make sure the fans are working properly. We aren't into big speeches or fancy brochures. We just show up, do the teaching, and make sure the students are safe. You can hear the sirens from the police station across the road sometimes, but the kids are used to it by now. It’s just a regular part of life here on the highway. We’ve seen many batches come and go, and it’s always the same mix of hard work and play.
