Delhi Public School

You will find Delhi Public School at Plot No. 44, right near the Telephone Exchange on Mallapur Road. We are tucked behind the Nacharam area in Durga Nagar. It is a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the buses are trying to navigate the narrow turns. The school building has been around for a good while, so it looks like it belongs in the neighborhood. We don't have any of those modern glass facades. Inside, the hallways are wide enough but they get very loud during the lunch break. We have the standard labs and a library that smells like old paper. The teachers have their own little corner where they grade papers and drink tea between their classes. It’s a local school where most of the kids live within a few kilometers. We keep the gates locked during the day for safety, but parents are always coming and going for various reasons. The walls have some scuffs from kids running around, but we try to keep things reasonably neat. We don't spend much time on fancy brochures. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the kids are where they are supposed to be. The playground isn't huge, but it's enough for a game of kabaddi or a quick run. It’s a functional place that serves the community here in Mallapur without making a big fuss about it.
