City College Of Hotel Management is located right in Khairatabad, which is one of the busier parts of Hyderabad. If you know the area, you know how much is going on at all hours. Our building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but inside we’ve got kitchens and rooms set up for practice. Since it’s a hotel management college, things can get a bit hectic. There’s usually someone burning something in the kitchen or trying to figure out how to fold a napkin properly. We don't act like some big fancy institution. We’re just a place where people come to learn the skills they need to get a job in a hotel or a restaurant. Most of our instructors have worked in the industry for a long time, so they don’t sugarcoat things. They tell the students how hard the work actually is. We spend a lot of time on our feet. The office is small and usually piled high with forms and schedules. Khairatabad has plenty of places to eat nearby, so students are always heading out for snacks during their breaks. We try to keep a decent schedule, but sometimes classes run late when a recipe goes wrong. It’s practical, hands-on stuff. We aren't interested in making things sound better than they are. It’s just about learning the trade and getting out there to work. That’s pretty much the whole story of what we do here.
