Chilly Traders

We are set up at 19/9/43 on the Srisailam Highway in the Dastagirnagar area of Chandrayangutta. Being right on the highway means we get a lot of dust and noise from the heavy vehicles passing by. It’s a very busy part of town, especially near Kesav Giri. The office is basically just a spot where we can sit down and handle the paperwork for the trading we do. Most of the day is spent on the phone or talking to drivers who pull up outside. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we keep the shutters halfway down to block the sun. Chandrayangutta is a fast-moving place and we have to keep up with that pace. There isn’t much room for relaxing here. We usually grab snacks from the vendors who walk by the road. The address can be a bit confusing for people who aren't from around here because the numbers on the highway are a bit jumpy. But once you find the Dastagirnagar stretch, it’s not too bad. We have a few old tables and some shelves filled with ledgers. It is a basic operation, really. We just focus on getting the trades sorted and making sure the goods are moving where they need to go. It’s a lot of manual work and keeping track of things in our heads. We’ve been at this same highway spot for quite a few years now and it doesn't change much for Chilly Traders.
