Indian Genomix Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Plot No. 135/1 & 2 in Phase-2 of Ida Cherlapally. It’s an industrial area, so there’s a lot of activity around us. We focus on genomic work, which involves a lot of lab time and looking at data. Our facility is set up for science, with clean areas and specialized equipment. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a lot of decorations. Everything is functional. We spend our days tucked away in the lab or at our computers. Cherlapally is a bit far out for some, but it’s a good place for a company like ours because we have the space we need. The building is sturdy and does the job. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just want to get the research right. It’s quiet inside compared to the noisy streets outside. We have a small team of people who actually understand the science. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the projects at hand. Sometimes the power goes out in the area, but we have backups. It’s just part of working in an industrial estate. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the area change. It’s a practical place to work. We don't have a big marketing department, just scientists doing their thing every day.
