Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Public School

Being inside the BHEL township in Ramchandra Puram makes things a bit different for us. The roads are wider here and there are more trees than you find in the middle of the city. It’s a bit of a quiet area, mostly filled with people who work for the company. Our school has been a part of this community for a long time. The building is one of those solid structures that was built to last, though it looks its age in some of the darker hallways. We have high ceilings and those big windows that let in a lot of light, which is nice in the mornings. The kids who come here usually live just a few streets away, so you see them walking home in groups when the final bell rings. We don’t have anything very modern or flashy. The library has books that have been on the shelves for decades, and the playground equipment has been repainted more times than I can count. Our staff room is tucked away in a corner and it is usually full of half-drunk cups of tea and stacks of notebooks. It gets busy during the exam months, but otherwise, it is a fairly steady pace of life. We like being in this part of town because it feels safe and settled. It’s just a regular school doing its thing in the middle of the township.
