Bens Kek Private Limited is tucked away in the Musheerabad area, specifically over at 1-7-512/3/Ahari Nagar in Zamistanpur. It’s an old-school kind of neighborhood and we fit right in. We’ve been here for a bit now, focusing on our cakes and sweets. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but we've got everything we need inside. It’s a family-style operation where everyone chips in. One person might be doing the books while another is scrubbing the pans. We don't have those fancy glass partitions or high-end office furniture. It’s a working kitchen through and through. The smell of sugar and baking stays in your clothes long after you leave. Sometimes the traffic in Zamistanpur makes getting supplies a bit of a headache, but we manage. We aren't a big chain with hundreds of outlets. We are just this one spot in Musheerabad. We know the local shops around us and the people who walk past our door every day. We write our lists on scrap paper and keep our recipes in a beat-up binder. It’s not high-tech, but it works for us. We just want to do our jobs and go home at the end of the day. It’s a simple life, really. We’re glad to be part of the community here. Most days are long but we like the work. It feels good to finish a batch.
