You can find us at Plot No 1-4 on Nizampet Road, right in the middle of all the action in Nizampet. It is a busy stretch of road, so there is always the sound of horns and engines in the background while we are trying to teach. The school takes up a few plots here, and we’ve tried to make the most of the space we have for the children. We’ve been here for quite some time, and it’s been interesting to see how much this part of Hyderabad has changed over the years. Every morning is a bit of a rush with parents dropping off their kids and the school buses trying to find a spot to park. Inside the gates, though, it’s all about the lessons. We focus quite a bit on English because that is what the parents here want for their kids. The classrooms are filled with posters and drawings, and there is always some kind of project going on. It’s not a perfect place—the paint might be peeling in a few corners and the playground isn't as big as we’d like—but it’s a real place where kids actually learn things. We spend a lot of our time making sure the kids are behaving and that they are actually opening their books. It’s a lot of work running a school on such a busy road, but we just keep at it day after day. It is just our way of life here.
