Baal Ganga Public School

Baal Ganga Public School sits right in the middle of Yapral. If you live around here, you’ve probably walked past our gate many times. It is a local school for the families living in this part of Hyderabad. We don’t put on any airs about what we do. The building is a standard one, with rooms for different classes and a small space for the kids to gather. In the mornings, you see the yellow buses or the auto-rickshaws pulling up to drop everyone off. The teachers here are mostly from nearby areas too. They walk to work or take a short scooty ride. We have some trees in the corner that provide a bit of shade when the sun is out. The classrooms have the usual posters on the walls, showing maps and the alphabet. It’s not a quiet place, especially when the bell rings for lunch. That is when you hear all the shouting and laughing from the playground area. We have a small staff room where we sit and have tea during the breaks. We talk about the weather or how the kids are doing with their exams. It’s a very straightforward life here. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the basic stuff you need to teach. Most of our students stay with us for many years, so we see them grow up from small kids to teenagers before they move on. It is a steady routine that we enjoy.
