Our school is tucked away in the Rockdale Compound over in Somajiguda, Hyderabad. The address is 6-3-569/1/5, and it’s a bit of an older part of the area compared to the new towers. Somajiguda is really crowded these days with all the malls and jewelry shops, but once you get inside the compound, it’s a little quieter for the kids. B D S D H S G School is a place where we have students from all over the city coming in every morning. The building has a lot of history to it, and you can see it in the way the walls and the old stairs look. It’s not a brand-new glass building, but it serves us well enough for the classes. We spend our mornings getting the classrooms ready and waiting for the school bell to ring. The kids are always full of energy, which can be a bit much sometimes before we've had our first cup of tea. We have some outdoor space where they can play during the break, though it’s not huge by any means. The teachers here have a lot of experience, and we mostly just talk about how to get the kids to pay more attention. We don’t use a lot of fancy words or have big marketing campaigns to show off. It’s just a school in a busy part of Hyderabad where we try to teach the basics. Some days are better than others, especially when the traffic outside is really bad, but we just keep showing up.
