This is a girls' school, and we spend our days making sure the environment is right for the students. The building is situated on a quiet plot of land, away from the heavy main road traffic of Hyderabad. We have classrooms set up with some bright colors and plenty of space for the girls to move around during their activities. Since we are part of a franchise, there are certain ways we have to organize the desks and the learning materials, but it still feels like a local neighborhood school. The teachers are mostly women who live in the surrounding areas. We have a small playground area out back where the girls can spend their break time. It is a bit small, but it works well enough for us. In the mornings, you will see many yellow vans dropping off the students at the gate. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to parents about things like schedules and school uniforms.
