Athreya Engineering Enterprises

Athreya Engineering Enterprises is located at 28-B, Phase-II, in the Technocrats Industrial Estate in Balanagar. It is a bit of a drive to get out here, but this is where all the industrial action is. The estate is full of shops and we are right in the middle of it. We spend almost all our time out on the floor with the equipment. It is pretty noisy when everything is running, so we usually have to shout to be heard. We have been in Balanagar for a good few years now. The space is functional, with just enough room for the machines and a small corner where we sit for breaks. We do not have fancy furniture or a proper breakroom; we just have a small electric kettle for tea. Our hands are rarely clean because we are always fixing things or working on parts. If the phone rings, you will likely talk to someone who is actually holding a wrench. Sometimes we get a bit behind on tidying up, especially when we are trying to finish a big order on time. The estate has its own routine, and we are just a small part of it. We see the same people at the gate every morning. It is a practical, honest way to earn a living without any unnecessary fluff.
