Asst.Design Engineer

This little office in Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, is where I do my work as an assistant design engineer. The address is 1-1-538/34, and it’s a pretty standard spot in a busy part of town. I spend most of my time hunched over a computer or sketching out ideas on whatever scrap of paper is handy. It’s not a big corporate design studio with glass walls. It’s more of a practical space where we try to figure out how to make things work. The streets outside are always noisy with bikes and people going about their business. I’ve been here for a while now, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. I show up, check my emails, and start working on the latest drawings. Sometimes the designs get complicated and I have to ask for a second opinion, but usually, I just keep at it until it looks right. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment, just what we need to get the job done. The walls are a bit bare, and the furniture has seen better days, but it’s a good place to focus. I usually bring my lunch from home and eat it at my desk while looking over some technical specs. It’s just honest work in a regular Hyderabad neighborhood. I leave the office around seven usually, once the main rush of traffic has died down a little bit. It is a long day but the work is interesting.
