Ascent Public High School

Ascent Public High School sits on Road No 1 in the Andhra Kesari Colony area of Vanasthalipuram. Being a high school, the vibe here is a bit different than the primary schools nearby. The students are older and the hallways are filled with teenagers rushing to their next class. You can hear the sound of the bell ringing throughout the colony. We have several floors, and the older kids usually have their classes on the top ones. The desks are older and have lots of scribbles on them, but they still work fine. We have a small lab where the kids do their experiments, and sometimes you can smell something strange coming from there during chemistry hour. Our teachers are focused on the exams because that's what the parents in this neighborhood worry about most. The office is a small room packed with files and registers from years of teaching. We don't have a massive sports field, but the kids manage to play some games in the open spaces we do have. It's a busy, functional place where everyone knows their role. The staff room is always full of tea cups and piles of notebooks waiting to be checked. We just keep things moving along, making sure the students learn what they need to for their futures in Hyderabad and beyond.
