Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School

Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School is situated at 2-3-160, Adarshnagar Colony, over in the Nagole area of Hyderabad. The neighborhood is mostly full of families, so having a school right here in the middle of it makes a lot of sense. Our gates open up early in the morning, and you can see the buses and rickshaws lining up along the colony road. It gets a bit noisy during drop-off and pick-up times, but that is just how it goes with schools. The building has been here for a good number of years now, and you can see that in the way the walls look and the way the trees in the yard have grown tall. We have the usual classrooms filled with wooden benches and blackboards. The teachers spend their breaks in the staff room, often sharing tea and talking about the day’s work. It isn't a high-tech facility with tablets for everyone, but it works for what we need. The students seem to like the open spaces we have for playing during their lunch breaks. Being in the 500068 area, we get a lot of kids from the nearby streets walking to school. It’s a very local, community-focused kind of place. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids are doing their work every day. It feels like a very normal part of the neighborhood.
