Arya Kanya Vidyalaya High School

Our school is tucked away at Door No 165 Srt in the Misri Gunj area of Hyderabad. It’s a high school where we mostly see girls from the local neighborhood. The building is an old one, typical of this part of the city. We have been working out of this space for quite a few years now. The rooms are a bit small, but they serve the purpose. Every morning, the street outside gets filled with students walking to the entrance. It’s a lively atmosphere, though it can get pretty cramped during the rainy season. We spend our time checking attendance and going through the syllabus. There are no big advertisements or polished hallways here. It’s just desks, benches, and blackboards. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many kids, it is a constant job. The Misri Gunj area has a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of that. Most of the parents know us because they live just a few streets away. We don’t use any complicated systems; we just keep things running the way they always have. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do every day from Monday to Saturday. The postman knows our door number well since we get plenty of mail for the school. It’s just a regular local high school where the teachers and students all know each other.
