Arunoday Public School

This school sits on Plot No.4 in Vijayapuri Colony. It’s right near the Netaji Nagar X Road, which means there’s always something happening nearby. A S Rao Nagar is a busy area in Hyderabad, and our school is right in the thick of it. The morning drop-off is always a bit of a scramble with scooters and cars lining up. We’ve got the 500062 pincode, and most of the families live nearby. The building is just a standard school structure. It’s not new, but it works for what we need. Inside, the classrooms are filled with the usual desks and blackboards. We spend our days managing the kids and making sure they’re actually doing their work. There is a lot of paperwork involved in running a public school, so the office always has piles of files everywhere. We don’t have a huge playground, but the kids find ways to run around during the short breaks they get. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so the ceiling fans are always humming. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts, but we just open the windows and carry on. It’s a very local feel here. Everyone knows the shop on the corner where the kids buy their pens. We are just part of the furniture in this neighborhood now, really. Even the street dogs seem to know when the school bell is going to ring. It's just home for us and we like it.
