Annai Velankanni Matriculation School

We are located at 14-7/1/8 in Malkajgiri, which is a busy part of Hyderabad. The school day starts early here, and you can see the parents dropping their kids off on scooters and motorcycles right in front of the gate. It gets a bit crowded in the mornings because the road isn't that wide, but everyone manages to get through. Annai Velankanni Matriculation School has been around for a while now, and the building feels lived in. There are drawings on the walls in some rooms and the chalk dust always seems to find its way onto the teachers’ clothes. During the lunch break, the playground gets really loud with everyone running around, and you can smell the different types of pickles and rice coming from the lunch boxes. We aren't a big international campus with a swimming pool or anything like that. It’s just a local school where kids from the neighborhood come to study their books and sit for their exams. The benches are made of wood and sometimes they creak when the older students sit down. We try to keep things organized, but with so many children, there’s always a little bit of chaos, which is just how a school should be. On rainy days, the water drips off the roof and the kids try to jump in the puddles before the bell rings. It’s a plain, honest place where we just get on with the day.
