Anantha Geetha High School

Anantha Geetha High School is located right on Nagole Road in Kothapet. It’s a busy spot, and sometimes the noise from the street makes its way into the front rooms, but we’ve all learned to speak a bit louder to compensate. This part of Hyderabad is always growing, so there’s usually some kind of construction or new shop opening up nearby. Our school is a big part of the local scene here. It’s a high school, so the kids are at that age where they think they know everything already. It makes for some interesting days, to say the least. The building itself is pretty sturdy, though we could probably use some newer furniture in a few of the classrooms. We spend our days going from one lesson to the next, trying to keep everyone on track. Lunchtime is the loudest part of the day, with students swapping food and hanging out in the hallways. It’s a bit of a maze inside if you aren’t used to it. We don’t have a massive sports field, but we make do with the space we have. Most of the teachers have been here for a long time, so they know all the tricks the students try to pull. It’s just a normal school day, day after day. We don’t try to make it sound like something out of a brochure because it’s just life in Kothapet, and we’re okay with that. It's just a regular place for regular students.
