Amma Maya Montessori School

We are located at Plot No 499 on Road Number 12 in the Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad. This school uses the Montessori way of doing things, which basically means we let the kids work with their hands and move around a bit more than a regular classroom. We don’t have a massive campus, just this plot where we’ve set up our rooms. The building is simple and we try to keep it clean and organized for the children. Most of the families who come to us are living right here in 500034. It’s a convenient spot for them. We have a small group of teachers who have been with us for a while. They know how to handle the different ages all in one space. It’s not always quiet, kids are kids after all, and they get excited about what they are doing. We don’t put on a big show for visitors. What you see is usually what’s happening every day. Some days are a bit more chaotic than others, especially when we are doing art projects or when the weather is bad and everyone has to stay inside. We just try to provide a solid place for children to grow up a bit before they head off to the bigger schools. It’s a straightforward setup and we like being a small part of the local community on Road 12.
