Amar Slenier School

Our school is located at House No 64, right there on Indira Park Marg. It’s an old building, but it works for what we need. Being so close to Indira Park is nice because of the trees and the general feel of the area. We have been running Amar Slenier School from this house for a while now. It’s not one of those huge campus schools you see on the outskirts of Hyderabad. It is more of a local neighborhood spot. The rooms are converted from living spaces into classrooms. It gets a bit noisy when the kids are on break, but that’s just how it is. We spend a lot of time organizing the daily schedules and making sure the desks are in order. The street outside, Indira Park Marg, can get quite a lot of traffic during the rush hours, so we have to be careful with the gate. It is a very practical place. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles. Just the basic stuff you need to teach. Most of the families who come to us live nearby in the 500029 area. It feels like a small community here. Sometimes the roof needs a bit of work or the paint is peeling, but we just fix things as we go along. It is a busy life running a school out of a house, but it’s what we do. We're just around the corner from the park. The bell rings at eight and we go from there.
