Amandeep Senior Secondary School

If you are heading down the Ring Road near Mehdipatnam, you might notice Amandeep Senior Secondary School at Maruthi Nagar. Our address is 13-6-434/C/146, which sounds a bit complicated, but it’s actually easy to find once you are in the right lane. We are a senior secondary school, so we have older students here mostly. The atmosphere is a bit more serious than a primary school, especially when exam season is around the corner. You can see the students sitting in groups in the corridors, usually helping each other with some difficult math problem or science notes. The building itself is several stories high to fit everyone in. It gets quite busy around the entrance when the school day ends and all the cycles and scooters are trying to get out onto the main road. The staff room is always a mess of papers and tea cups, which is how we like it because it shows we are working. We’ve been in this part of Hyderabad for quite a while now. Most people around Mehdipatnam know the name. We don't go in for big banners or anything like that. The focus is just on getting through the day and making sure the students are prepared for what comes next. It’s a lot of hard work, both for the teachers and the kids, but that is just the way it is here on the Ring Road. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
