Alpha International School

Alpha International School is based at Plot No 25 in West Marredpally. This part of Hyderabad is quite busy, and we are right in the thick of it. The school sits on a decent-sized plot, though it’s still very much an urban setting. We have students coming in from different parts of the city, but many are locals. The day starts early with the staff getting the rooms ready. It’s a plain building, nothing too flashy on the outside. We have several floors for the different grades. The stairs are narrow, so we have to tell the kids to be careful when they run. We follow an international style of teaching, which keeps things interesting. There’s usually a lot of paperwork to handle in the office, and the phone rings quite often with questions about admissions or schedules. We don't have a big PR team writing stuff for us. We just tell people how it is. The classrooms have the usual desks and chairs, and some have projectors when we can get them to work right. It’s a practical place. We focus on the curriculum and the exams. During the rainy season, the street outside gets a bit muddy, but we manage. The staff room is always full of tea cups and notebooks. It’s a hardworking environment where people just do their jobs without making a big deal out of it. We’re just a regular school on Plot No 25.
