Al Kathireya School

Al Kathireya School is tucked away in Bagh Amberpet. If you know the Amberpet area, you know it can be a bit crowded with all the shops and houses nearby. Our school fits right into that scene. We’ve been operating here for a while, and the building shows its age a bit, but it’s sturdy. The classrooms are full of wooden benches that have been used by many students over the years. You can hear the traffic from the street, but once the lessons start, we mostly tune it out. We don’t have a big reception area or anything. Usually, someone is just standing near the door to help out if a parent stops by with a question. We spend a lot of time just making sure the kids stay on track with their books. There's a lot of talking during the breaks, and the sound echoes in the small courtyard we have. We keep a few water coolers in the corners because it gets quite hot in the summer months. The teachers here are mostly from the local neighborhood too. We all know the shortcuts through the lanes to get to work on time. It’s just a plain, everyday school for the families living around Bagh Amberpet. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just open the doors, teach the classes, and lock up when the sun starts to go down. It is a long day but we are used to it.
