Al Hilal High School

We've been here at 32, Banjara Nagar for quite a while now. If you walk down the street in Trimulgherry, you'll see our building right there in the neighborhood. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings when the kids start arriving and the parents are dropping them off at the gate. We don't have a giant campus, but the rooms are filled with desks and posters that the students made themselves. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the bell rings for lunch, but that's just how a school is. You can hear the teachers talking through the open windows while people pass by on the street outside. Our hallways are narrow and we have to remind the older boys not to run too fast between classes. We try to keep things simple here in Secunderabad. There's always a stack of notebooks waiting to be corrected on someone's desk. The light comes in through the windows in the afternoon and it gets a little warm, so we keep the fans going. It isn't anything fancy, just a regular high school where we spend our days teaching and making sure things run okay. Most of the families around here know us by now. We see the same faces every day. It's just a part of the daily life in Banjara Nagar, with the usual noise of the city happening just outside our walls. We just focus on the lessons and getting through the syllabus before the exams come around.
