Al- Gulistan Kanya High School

This school is actually inside an apartment building. We are located at Flat 101 on the 1st Floor of Sumitra Apartments in Trimulgherry. It is a bit unusual for a school, but it works for us and our students. Being a kanya high school, we only have girls here. The space is a bit limited since it is a flat, but we have converted the rooms into classrooms that fit everyone. It creates a very close-knit atmosphere where everyone knows each other. The girls feel safe and at home here. We are right in the middle of a residential area in Hyderabad 500015. You have to walk up the stairs to get to our front door. It is a quiet environment, which is good for focusing on the books. We do not have a playground, obviously, but we make do with what we have inside the space. The staff consists of women who have been teaching for many years and live nearby. We focus on the high school curriculum and try to make sure every girl gets enough personal attention. It is a very personal way of running a school. We know every single student by name. It is not a big corporate school with thousands of kids. It is just a small, focused place for girls to finish their education.
