Akhter'S Mission High School

Akhter'S Mission High School is tucked away in Ntr Nagar, over in the Sivarampalli area of Hyderabad. It is one of those places that you might miss if you are driving too fast down the main road, but the locals know exactly where it is. The building is fairly tall and looks out over the neighborhood. In the mornings, Sivarampalli gets quite crowded with traffic, so there is always a bit of a scramble at the front gate. Inside, it is a different world, mostly filled with the sound of teachers talking and chairs scraping on the floor. We have several floors of classrooms, and the stairs get a real workout every single day. The walls have been painted a few times, but you can still see where kids have leaned against them over the years. Hyderabad is a hot city, so we really value the shade we get in the courtyard. We spend our days checking attendance, fixing broken desks, and making sure the lunch break does not turn into total chaos. It isn’t a massive, sprawling campus, but we use every inch of space we have for the students. The office is always busy with someone asking about a fee receipt or a transfer certificate. It is just a normal school doing its thing in a busy part of town, without any extra fuss or fancy decorations to show off to the neighbors.
