Afrs (American Friendship Residential School)

Over in Karwan, you will find us. People usually call us AFRS, which is short for the American Friendship Residential School. It has been in this part of Hyderabad, the 500006 area, for a while now. We have students who stay here since it is a residential place. That means the building is busy all the time, not just during the day. We have dorms and places for them to eat and sleep. It is not like a hotel, it is just a school where kids live while they study. The neighborhood in Karwan is quite old and has its own character. We get kids from different places, not just from right next door. There is always something going on, whether it is breakfast time or late-night study sessions in the rooms. The staff stays busy looking after everyone. It is a lot of work to run a place where kids live twenty-four hours a day. We do not have a big marketing team or anything like that. Word just gets around among the parents. The building itself has seen better days, but it is sturdy enough for what we need. We spend our time making sure the kids are doing their homework and getting enough sleep. Sometimes the noise from the streets in Karwan makes its way inside. It is a lively place to be. We just try to keep things organized.
