If you know where the Indra Gandhi Statue is in Rasoolpura, then you’ve basically found us. Adarsh Secondary School is right nearby at Door No. 47/1-19-27. It’s a pretty central spot in Secunderabad, which makes it easy for the kids to get here from different parts of the neighborhood. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and the building has seen a lot of students come and go. It’s a typical school environment with the usual noise of bells ringing and children talking in the hallways. We don’t have a lot of extra space, but we make use of every corner we have. The teachers here are dedicated to their work, though they’re just regular people who live in Hyderabad too. We handle the daily grind of lessons, grading papers, and keeping an eye on the playground. There’s always something that needs fixing, like a squeaky door or a flickering light, but that’s just part of running an older building. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. It’s just a secondary school where local kids come to get their certificates and move on to whatever is next in their lives. We keep things simple and try to stay organized, even when things get hectic during exam season. You’ll usually see a few of us standing near the entrance in the morning, greeting the students as they walk in from the street.
