Adarsh S H S School is on the 1st floor of the building at 10-3-182, St Johns Road. Being in Secunderabad, it’s a very busy part of town. Since we are on the first floor, the kids have to walk up the stairs every morning. It's a bit of a tight space, but we make it work. We’ve been in this location for a long time. The classrooms are lined up along the hallway. It can get a bit stuffy when the weather is hot, but the windows face the street so there's some air coming through. We have the usual school noise, mostly kids talking and teachers lecturing. St Johns Road is always full of cars and people, so it's never really quiet here. We don't have a big playground because of being on the first floor, but there's a bit of room for the children to move around. We are just a regular school trying to do our job. There isn't any big mission statement or anything fancy. We just teach the subjects and hope the kids learn something. Parents come up the stairs to pay fees or talk about their children’s progress. We have a small area for the staff to sit and have their tea. It’s a very functional place. Nothing is there just for show. We just keep the school running as best as we can. It’s a simple building for simple education in the city.
