Cafe Events

You can find us in Abids, very close to the McDonald's. It’s a very busy part of the city. There’s always a crowd outside and the noise of the traffic is something you just live with. Being near a big spot like McDonald's makes it easy for people to find us, even though we don't have a giant neon sign. Cafe Events is run by a small group of us. We spend a lot of time planning and talking through things. The office isn't very big, so it gets a bit loud when we are all in at once. We don't have fancy furniture. Just some sturdy tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use. Abids is an old part of town, so the buildings have some character, even if they aren't perfect. We’ve had to fix a few leaks here and there over the years. We just keep things moving. We don't use a lot of corporate language or have big meetings about goals. We just look at what needs to happen today and we do it. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot to do, and other times we leave a bit early if it’s quiet. It’s a flexible way of working. We like being in the middle of all the action in Abids. It keeps us on our toes. Just a normal group of people working hard. It’s what we do every day without much complaint.
