Modelinfra Corporation Pvt. Ltd. is located out at 221, Kiadb Industrial Growth Center in Bellur. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city area of Dharwad. The drive out here can be long, especially if the roads are under repair. We are basically a group of people working on infrastructure parts. We deal with heavy stuff like metal pipes and construction materials. The warehouse is big and the ceiling is very high. It’s always a bit cool inside, even when it’s hot outside. My brother and I put a lot of work into getting this place set up. It wasn't easy. We have some old machines that we use every day. They need a lot of oiling and care. Our office is just a small room partitioned off in the corner. It’s full of blueprints and old files piled up on the desks. We hire most of our help from the villages nearby. They are hard workers who don't mind getting their hands dirty. We usually have our lunch together in the shade of the big tree outside the gate. We don't really do any marketing or advertising. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. It’s a noisy environment with all the clanking of metal, but we like it. Every day is different and there’s always something that needs fixing or moving. We just keep at it and get the work done.
