Basudevpur is where we spend most of our time. Wearmind is just the name on the door here in Panchla. It’s a busy spot, especially when the weather gets humid and the fans are humming all day long. We started out small and stayed that way mostly. Most of the people working here live close by, so we see each other at the market too. There’s usually a pile of stuff waiting to be sorted and someone is always looking for a lost pen. We don't really do big meetings or anything like that. We just come in, see what needs doing, and get to it. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back. It is what it is. The building itself is nothing special to look at, but it keeps the rain off our heads. We’ve got a couple of old desks and a lot of shelf space that never seems to be enough. If you walk past the post office and keep going towards the station, you'll find us. It gets noisy in the afternoons when the trucks go by. We’ve learned to talk a bit louder. There is always tea around if someone remembers to bring milk. It’s not a fancy life but it keeps us busy and the bills paid. We just try to get the orders right and hope the roads aren't too flooded for the deliveries.
