You can find us at 42 Dobson Road, right inside Prakash Market. If you’ve ever been to the market, you know it’s a maze of shops and people looking for deals. We’re just one of those shops, tucked away where we’ve been for years. We deal mostly in garments, and the space is usually filled with stacks of cloth and finished pieces waiting to be picked up. It’s not a fancy boutique with bright lights and mannequins. It’s more like a workshop where things actually get made and sold. The noise from the street is always there, but we don’t even hear it anymore. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when a new shipment of fabric arrives, and we have to squeeze past the bags to get to the back. We don't have a website or anyone to handle social media for us. People just know we’re here in Prakash Market because their cousins or neighbors told them. We spend a lot of time measuring things and talking to customers about what they need. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually tired by the end of the day. We try to keep the shop tidy, but when you’re working with thread and cloth, there’s always some mess. It’s just the way we work. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There's something real about working in a market where people are always shouting and moving around. It's what keeps us coming back every morning.
