Vardhman Garments

Vardhman Garments is tucked away at 32 Madhusudan Biswas Lane. It is near Panchanantalla Road and M C Ghosh Lane in Howrah. If you know this part of Howrah, you know the lanes are narrow and always full of life. We have been here for a long time. Our shop is not very big, but it is enough for what we do. We spend our days surrounded by stacks of fabric and finished clothes. The air in the lane is often thick with the smell of street food and exhaust, but inside we just focus on the garments. We are not a big corporate company. We are just a local business trying to do our job. The building is old and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We have a few old wooden tables where we do all the folding and packing. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait around, but that is just part of being in this neighborhood. We know most of our neighbors and we often stop to chat when we are moving boxes. It is a hard-working area. We start early in the morning and usually stay until the sun goes down. We do not have any mission statements or fancy slogans. We just make sure the clothes are ready on time. It is a straightforward way of working and it has served us well over the years. We like being part of the Howrah community.
