Usha Plastics Howrah

Our place, Usha Plastics Howrah, is situated at No. 46/28 Dasarath Ghosh Lane. If you know Howrah, you know that these lanes can be a bit tricky to navigate, but we have been here long enough that most of the delivery drivers know the way. The workshop is a bit loud because the plastic molding machines are running for most of the day. It’s not the kind of place where you would wear a suit. We are usually covered in a bit of dust or grease from the machines. The floor is hard concrete and there are always bags of plastic pellets stacked up against the walls. We have a small office area that is really just a corner with an old desk and a few filing cabinets that don't always lock properly. It’s a practical space. We focus on getting the products out the door rather than making the place look pretty for visitors. The air smells a bit like hot resin, which is just the smell of work to us. We have a small crew and we all know our roles. We don't have meetings or anything like that; we just talk over the noise of the fans. It’s a steady business and we like being part of the industrial fabric of the area. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done every single day.
