Twibungma Organic Producer Company Limited

Our company is based out of Udaisenapati Para, over in the Dighalia area. Biswa Chandra Debbarma’s place is where we usually gather to handle the business side of our organic farming. It’s a quiet village setting, very different from the noise and the dust of the main town. Most of us here are farmers first and business people second. We decided to form this producer company to help get our organic goods out to more people without getting cheated. It’s not a complicated operation at all. We have some storage space and a quiet spot where we can sit down and look at the account books. The village life dictates how we work every day. If it's harvest time, nobody is in the office because we're all out in the fields getting the crops in. We don't have a receptionist or a big sign out front to attract people. You just ask for Biswa’s place and people will point you in the right direction. Being in Udaisenapati Para means we are right in the middle of our community. We spend a lot of time talking about things like soil quality and which crops are growing best this season. It's honest work, and it gets really tiring, especially when the Tripura heat is at its worst in the afternoon. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or brochures. We just focus on the quality of the organic produce we are growing here. It's a way for us to work together and make sure our families are taken care of.
