My place is over in Birshibpur, right on Station Road. It’s pretty easy to find because we are very close to Satyacharan Bastralaya. People use that as a landmark all the time. I’ve been working from here for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot with people coming and going from the station. The building isn't new, and it has that look of a place that’s seen a lot of years. I handle a bit of everything here, mostly just trade stuff that comes through the rail line. It’s not a big corporate office. It’s just me and a couple of others keeping track of the books and moving the inventory. Sometimes it gets crowded when the train schedules change and everyone is on the street at once. The shop front is plain. I didn't see much point in putting up big signs or anything. People who need me usually know where I sit. It’s a lot of paperwork and talking to people who stop by. I spend a lot of time on the phone or just checking the bags that come in. It gets dusty being so close to the road, but that’s just part of being in Birshibpur. We don't have air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that keep the air moving in the summer. It’s a modest setup, but it’s where I’ve always done my business. No reason to change it now. I’ve been here since the neighborhood looked a lot different and the trees were smaller than the rooftops.
