If you head over to Howrah, specifically the Bankra Jamadar Bara area, you’ll find Tulip Apparel. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a bit now. It’s a real working neighborhood, so there is always noise from the street and people moving about. We handle a lot of different garments here. The space is filled with stacks of clothes and rolls of material most of the time. It’s not a shiny showroom; it’s more of a place where the actual work happens. We focus on getting things ready for customers who need reliable clothing. The weather in Bankra can get pretty humid, so we usually have the door open to catch whatever breeze there is. We aren't fancy people. We just know our way around needles and thread. Most of our neighbors know us by now. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the narrow road, which makes things a bit slow, but we manage. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just come to the door and ask what we have available. It’s a straightforward way of doing business. We keep our own books and manage the stock as it comes in. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes, especially on Mondays when the new materials arrive. We just try to provide what people are looking for without making a big fuss about it. It’s just a regular Howrah business doing its thing day in and day out.
