The Lokenath Event

The Lokenath Event is based at 106, G.T Road in Sondha Bazar. If you know where Nababharat Cinema is, we are right near there. G.T Road is always packed with trucks and buses, so it’s never quiet. We’ve been operating out of this spot in Howrah for a good bit of time. It’s mostly just a warehouse space where we keep all the event stuff. We have chairs, tables, and some old decorations stacked up to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a maze inside. I spend a lot of time dusting things off before they go out. We don't have a big sales team. It’s usually just me answering the phone or talking to people who walk in from the street. The cinema nearby brings a lot of foot traffic, which is nice. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it’s not too hot. We don't really do anything fancy with our marketing. We just provide what people ask for their functions. Sometimes the colors don't match perfectly, but we try our best to find something that works. It’s a local business and we know most of the families around here. We just keep moving things in and out of the trucks. The padlock on the front gate is getting a bit rusty, so it takes a few tries to open it every morning. We just focus on getting the gear to the venue without any breaks or cracks. It’s a lot of physical labor but it keeps us busy.
