Springfield Chemicals

Springfield Chemicals is tucked away at 40 Kalabagan Lane. You have to head into Santragachhi to find us. It’s not a main road or anything, just a regular lane where people live and work. The street gets a bit cramped when the delivery trucks try to back in. We’ve had a few close calls with the side mirrors on those vehicles. Our building is nothing to write home about. It's just a sturdy place where we keep our supplies and do our paperwork. We’ve been at this address for quite a few years. You get used to the sounds of the neighborhood after a while. The rain usually pools a bit near the front entrance, so we keep some bricks there to step on. Working with chemicals means we have to be careful, but we don't make a big fuss about it. It’s just the nature of the business. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we all know the local gossip. We don't have a glossy brochure or a big sign out front. Most folks just know us by the number on the gate. It’s a quiet way to run a business, I suppose. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure the drums are where they should be. It's practical work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment comes in, but mostly we stick to our regular hours and head home.
