Rakshi Stores

Rakshi Stores is situated in Udayanarayanpur, right on Parshura Road. We are in the Howrah district, specifically the 711226 area. It’s a local place where we sell stuff that folks in the village and nearby areas need. Living in Howrah means the weather can be quite humid, so we try to keep the shop as airy as possible. We’ve got the basic items, mostly food stuff and some household goods. It’s a quiet life here on Parshura Road for the most part, except when the local transport passes by. I started this shop because there wasn't much else nearby at the time. Now, there are more buildings, but we stay the same. I do the billing myself and usually have a helper to move the heavy sacks of rice or flour. Sometimes we run out of things if the truck from the city gets delayed, but that’s just how it goes here. People from Udayanarayanpur come by on their way home. We don’t do any advertising. Most people just know us by name. The shop has been here through many rainy seasons. It’s not a supermarket, just a small store where you can get what you need without a fuss. We keep it simple. If you need a refill of oil or some spices, we are usually around from dawn until the sun goes down. It's just a regular part of the neighborhood.
