We are located on Benaras Road, right near the Howrah Loco Depot. If you know Howrah, you know it gets very crowded and noisy around the railway areas. Our place is tucked in there among the shops and houses. We mostly have students coming in for extra help with their school subjects. The rooms are filled with wooden benches and whiteboards that get covered in marker ink by the end of the day. It’s a simple setup with not much decoration, just books and notes everywhere. Usually, the sessions start in the afternoon after the regular schools let out. You can hear the trains moving nearby while we are working. The office is just a small desk where we talk to parents about their kids' progress. It can get quite hot in the summer months, so the fans are always spinning at full speed. We’ve been at this location for a while now and most people in the neighborhood know where we are. We don't have any fancy signs or anything, just the name on the door. The students come here to get their work done and prepare for their exams. It’s a practical place where the focus is just on the lessons. Sometimes the street outside is so loud we have to close the windows, but we make it work. It feels like a small community here once the classes start and the students get settled. We just keep pushing through the syllabus one day at a time.
