Riya Fashion 2018

Our little shop is at No. 173 Kona Bagpara, right in the Pilot Bagan area. We are quite close to Kona High School, so every afternoon we hear the kids shouting and playing as they head home. Riya Fashion 2018 started a few years back and we have been here ever since, surrounded by rolls of fabric and various threads. The sewing machines have a constant rhythm that fills the room while we work on different outfits. It’s not a massive showroom, just a practical space where we cut cloth and stitch things together. There are scraps of fabric on the floor by the end of the day, and we usually have to do a big sweep before locking up. People from the neighborhood stop by to get things mended or to see what new materials we have brought in. We use old measuring tapes that have seen better days, but they still work just fine. It’s a very local feel here. We don't have any fancy displays, just the clothes hanging on racks and a few mirrors on the walls. The lighting isn't the best, but we know where everything is kept. It is just a simple place where we enjoy the process of making something wearable out of a plain piece of cloth.
