Mohd Aryan Dresses

We are based in Panchla, which is a busy little pocket over in Howrah. Our shop is called Mohd Aryan Dresses and it is where we spend most of our waking hours. If you walk through our doors, you will see sewing machines running and scraps of cloth all over the floor. It is a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big corporate office or a staff of hundreds. It is just a few of us working together to get the orders finished. The air is always full of the sound of needles hitting fabric. Panchla is known for this kind of work, so we are surrounded by others doing the same thing. We focus on making clothes that real people can actually wear every day. I don't spend much time thinking about fashion trends or what is happening on the runways. I just care about whether the seams are straight and the fit is right. Some days are longer than others, especially when we have a lot of work to finish before the weekend. We drink a lot of tea to keep us going through the afternoon. It is not a fancy life, but it pays the bills and keeps us connected to the community here in Howrah. We don’t have a website or any big ads, just our name on the front and our work on the inside. That’s enough for us.
