Salkia is a busy area and Sitanath Bose Lane is no exception. At number 131, you will find us at Pacific Engineers. We are basically an engineering shop that deals with all sorts of mechanical parts and repairs. The building we are in has been around for a long time. It has that old smell of grease and metal which we have grown to like. We spend our days tinkering with machines and trying to figure out why things aren't working the way they should. It’s a lot of problem-solving. We don’t have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If you come by, you’ll just see us in our work clothes, likely with grease on our hands. We use old lathes and various hand tools to get the jobs done. The traffic on Sitanath Bose Lane can be pretty loud, especially in the afternoons. We just turn up the radio and keep working. We aren't interested in making things sound more complicated than they are. Engineering is just about making things function properly. We have a lot of regular customers who bring their equipment to us because they know we’ve seen it all before. It’s a steady way to spend the day. We finish up around sunset and lock up the heavy doors. It’s been our routine for years and we don't see any reason to change it now.
