Modal Engineering Corporation

Down in Balitikuri, Bamunpara, you'll find Modal Engineering Corporation. We aren't really a corporation in the way people think of big glass buildings and suits. It's more of a local shop where we deal with engineering parts and repairs. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed until a deadline starts looming. Then we all pick up the pace a bit. The area around here is mostly residential and small shops, so we know our neighbors quite well. Sometimes the local kids stop by to look at the sparks from the welding. We try to keep things tidy, but it's hard when you're working with metal all day. There’s always a pile of something in the corner that needs sorting. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just show up, do the work, and hope the customer is satisfied enough to come back next time. We’ve had some of the same customers for a long time now. They know we aren't going to give them a bunch of corporate speak. We just tell them how long it will take and what it will cost. It's a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. The shop has its quirks, like the roof that leaks a bit during heavy rain, but it’s our place and we make the best of it. We keep moving forward and taking on whatever projects come through the door.
